Portland Trails is a nonprofit urban land trust that transforms Greater Portland into a healthier and better-connected community through a 70+ mile trail network.

Outdoor Afro

Outdoor Afro is committed to connecting Black people with nature and changing the face of leadership in the outdoors.

Rippleffect
Rippleffect’s mission is to promote youth development and leadership through adventure, healthy communities, and living sustainably.

SPACE Gallery
SPACE is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a safe space for creatives to make and showcase, artistic works.

Northeast Historic Film
Northeast Historic Film is a non-profit archive celebrating the historical and cultural significance of moving images. With access to 10 million+ feet of preserved film, a public study center, and a theater for screenings, they keep the history of New England’s archived films alive.

Maine Film Center
Maine Film Center is a non-profit organization supporting the film community through showcasing contemporary, classic, and independent films. They are also creators of the Maine International Film Festival, an annual screening of international films that spotlights Maine and New England filmmakers' works.

Indigo Arts Alliance
Indigo Arts Alliance is a non-profit organization dedicated to connecting Maine-based artists of African descent to artists of color from different parts of the world.

World Trails Network
The World Trails Network is a global organization registered as a non-profit organization in the United States of America and Switzerland. This organization is committed to educating conservation, inspiring engagement, and celebration, of trails everywhere, for everyone.

Girls on the Run Maine
Girls on the Run Maine is a non-profit organization originating from but independent of the International Girls on the Run organization. Girls on the Run Maine provides girls in early education with enjoyable physical exercise programs that will encourage confidence and perseverance and prepare them for life.

Maine Coast Heritage Trust
Maine Coast Heritage Trust is a non-profit land conservation organization supporting coastal communities by making the coast of Maine more accessible to all and protecting it from climate change.

Maine Audubon
The Maine Audubon is Maine’s oldest and is still its largest wildlife conservation organization. The mission of this organization is to educate and spread awareness to Mainers about Maine wildlife information, environmental policies, and their ongoing conservation projects.

Portland Gear Hub
The Portland Gear Hub is a non-profit store specializing in biking and outdoor gear equipment created by Ketcha Outdoors, a 501c3 youth outdoors organization. Their mission is to provide more affordable outdoor gear and information on gear to help create a more safe, sustainable, and accessible outdoor community.

Maine Outdoor Brands
aine Outdoor Brands unites business leaders and entrepreneurs in raising awareness of Maine’s outdoor recreation economy and strengthens Maine’s outdoor product/service companies through knowledge sharing, collaborative marketing and commerce efforts, and access to professional resources.

Wilderness Rescue Team
The Wilderness Rescue Team is an all-volunteer, non-profit corporation whose mission is to provide search and technical rescue and medical help in the wilderness in Maine.

Adaptive Outdoor Education Center
The AOEC Maine is a non-profit organization that provides outdoor, adaptive, recreational activities and educational programs for people with disabilities. With three locations in Maine, their programs are open and available to all people of all ages and abilities.

Bicycle Coalition of Maine
The Bicycle Coalition of Maine is working to expand biking in Maine, improve bike and pedestrian safety, pass bike- and pet-friendly laws, and spread a love of being active to children and adults alike.

Maine Film Association
The Maine Film Association’s mission is to advance the art, craft, and business of filmmaking in Maine by connecting film professionals in the state, providing engaging and interesting professional development and networking opportunities and promoting the film industry in Maine.

Carrabassett Region NEMBA
Carrabassett Region NEMBA (featured in two films from MOFF 2020 Broke & Stoked competition, Riding Raven and Carrabassett Valley Maine’s Ultimate Mountain Biking Destination) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the building and maintenance of a sustainable mountain bike trail network in Carrabassett Valley and surrounding areas.

Northern Forest Center is a non-profit organization coordinating local trail groups and small businesses for countless scenes across eight locations.

Blue Latitudes Foundation
Blue Latitudes Foundation is a non-profit organization uniting government, industry and, the community to find solutions for the environmental crisis in oceans.

The Maine Monitor
The Maine Monitor is a newspaper founded by the non-profit Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting. Their mission is to produce independent, nonpartisan journalism. A journalist at the Maine Monitor, Roger McCord, directed the MOFF 2021 film The Light of Lubec.

Clif Family Foundation
The Clif Family Foundation is an organization that works to support hundred of non-profit foundations that give community health, food, and environmental resources.

Northeast Wilderness Trust
The Northeast Wilderness Trust is a non-profit conservation organization that works to preserve forests in 6 states.

The Ikkatsu Project is committed to exploration, education, and advocacy. They combine science and adventure to help reduce pollution.
Friends of Seneca is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of rock climbing access for the climbing community of Seneca Rocks, WV.

Northwest Treaty Tribes
Northwest Treaty Tribes works to support tribes in the exercise of their treaty rights by telling the story of the tribes protecting and restoring natural resources.

Sunlight Media Collective
The Sunlight Media Collective is an organization of indigenous and non-indigenous media makers and activists. They work to document and present stories that highlight Wabanaki perspectives emphasizing the intersection between environmental issues and tribal rights.

Charpentiers Sans Frontières (CSP)
CSP is a French non-profit organization for woodworkers of the world. They've organized several work camps in several countries for carpenters to use traditional skills to create historical monuments.

Grand Staircase Escalante
The Grand Staircase Escalante Partners is a non-profit organization behind the Southern Utah Oral History Project featured in the MOFF film Desert Mourning. The Grand Staircase Escalante Partners' organized to honor the past and protect the future of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument through science, conservation, and education.

Southeastern Climbers Coalition

Venture Out Project
The Venture Out Project is a non-profit project organizing group trips and activities in the outdoors for the LGBTQ+ community. This organization also conducts teachings on inclusion for instructors, adventure professionals, and summer camps.

First Descents
First Descents is an organization that serves young adults impacted by cancer or other serious health conditions. They provide free outdoor experiences and opportunities to learn from local adventure communities and gain outdoor skills.

Schoodic Institute
The Schoodic Institute is a non-profit organization partnered with Acadia National Park and Friends of Acadia. They're an education and research center with their campus in Acadia National Park focusing on scientific research for conserving the park.

Friends of Casco Bay
Friends of Casco Bay works to improve and protect the environmental health of Casco Bay through close monitoring, inspiring residents and businesses to take care of our coastal waters, supporting efforts to reduce pollution, and advocating for strong protections for the Bay.

SailMaine
SailMaine is a local non-profit providing access for all to Portland’s waterfront. SailMaine offers training in multiple sailing levels and access to sailing for the entire community.

Communities For a Better Environment
Communities for a Better Environment (CBECAL) is an environmental rights organization located in California. CBECAL, founded in 1978, works to achieve environmental justice for low-income communities and communities of color in California.
