The idea for Faka’apa’apa was put together by the teams at Blue Latitudes Foundation and Matador Network. This is their second documentary film together.

Three thoughts from the filmmaker:

Filming in Tonga was extremely challenging, with rain, wind, and sea swells rising up to 10 ft on some days, ensuring that all team members didn’t get too seasick was the biggest challenge!”
