Synopsis:

Aural historian, jazz musician, sound-collage artist, and environmentalist Jack Loeffler shows us what it means to truly listen to the natural world outside our window.

Thoughts from the filmmaker:

We met Jack Loeffler in a class taught by author Hampton Sides at Colorado College in 2016. Jason and I were immediately inspired by Jack’s stories; he had an elucidating take on the way humans interact with the world. Cutting our five hour interview with Jack into a six minute short was especially painful, so we plan on making a few podcast episodes out of it after the film has screened at festivals.
