CONSERVATION. ADVENTURE. CONNECTION.

The Maine Outdoor Film Festival curates and presents film experiences related to the beauty, interactivity and complexity of our planet. MOFF asks questions and shares stories about how the power of our planet influences human experience and conversely, human’s impact on the planet. We believe top-notch storytelling and imagery has the potential to broaden perspectives, strengthen relationships, and to foster change within ourselves and our communities. And there’s never been a more important time than now to provide these educational and interactive opportunities to connect, explore and learn about the outdoors.

FLAGSHIP FESTIVAL

FLAGSHIP FESTIVAL

MOFF’s signature event is the annual Flagship Festival, happening July 21-26, 2026 in Portland, Maine. The festival features a panoply of programming, and each night an outdoor theater is erected in spaces like the Eastern Promenade.

SELECTS TOUR

SELECTS TOUR

After the Portland Flagship festival, the MOFF Selects Tour brings curated collections of selected films from the Flagship Festival to northeast venues with the goal of connecting community and the outdoors through film.

COMMUNITY CURRENTS

COMMUNITY CURRENTS

MOFF’s year-round film + panel series centered around themes focused on the community + environment, featuring local educators, leaders, and experts in their field.

MOFF YEAR-ROUND

MOFF YEAR-ROUND

There’s too much quality adventure and conservation film content to limit, so we produce winter and spring events in conjunction with things like a kickoff to winter and International Women’s Day.
