[IMPORTANT UPDATE, May 13, 2020]
MOFF 2020 Portland is on!
However, it is going to look a little different than what we envisioned when the planning process began 18 months ago.
We’re saving all the awesome big-crowd stuff (State Theatre, Eastern Prom, AURA, the Bay Mist boat cruise, the interactive panels and the Gear & Beer at the Gulf of Maine Research Institute) for 2021.
Instead, this summer, we’re going to hold a series of relaxed, 45-person outdoor screenings at various outdoor locations in the Greater Portland area. Please get in touch if you’d like to host a screening.
We’ll curate multiple blocks of films, with no overlapping content, so attendees can attend multiple events and not see duplicate content. We’ll also be offering an online version of each of the film blocks, for those who aren’t able to attend in person.
To see the dates and times of each screening, visit the Tickets page. Films and venues will be announced by July 1.
Note: These screenings will follow the letter and the spirit of prevailing safety guidelines at the time, with plenty of outdoor space for social distancing, and extra face masks on hand (while supplies last).
Attendees must purchase a ticket in advance to gain access to these live events, which will most likely sell out because of the small number of tickets available.
Please consider submitting your outdoor/conservation film to the 2020 MOFF event. If selected your film will premiere at our multi-day festival, July 30-August 2, 2020, in Portland, Maine.
*For Mainers Only*
Prizes include $1,000 cash and a huge pile of outdoor gear from over a dozen companies!
Submission Deadline is TBD
The 10 finalist films will all premiere August 1, 2020 at MOFF’s Best of Fest screening.
