What is the Selects Tour?
From mid-August to early October, MOFF travels the state for its Selects Tour. Partnering with local venues and sponsors, we visit numerous towns and cities around Maine to bring specially curated film programs to area residents.
These two-hour screening events can be held at indoor locations such as theaters, businesses, restaurants, and schools, or outdoor locations like parks, fields, and patios with equipment and setup help from the MOFF crew. Hosting a Selects Tour screening is a great way to bring your community together for an evening of fun!
Where does MOFF travel?
Anywhere! MOFF has screened in 36 different cities and towns across Maine, quite literally covering the state from tip to tail – there is a 362 mile distance between our northernmost screening in Fort Kent and our southernmost screening in Kittery. In 2018, MOFF held screenings in every single county in Maine.
We believe that all Mainers deserve to experience arts and culture events like MOFF, no matter the size or location of your town. Over half of the places MOFF has visited have populations of less than 5,000 (West Forks, where MOFF originated, has a population of only 58)! Wherever there are outdoor enthusiasts, MOFF will make the trip.
