Filmmaker Bio:

I am a painter, illustrator and graphic designer. I have lived in many regions of Maine but Millinocket has been my home since 2017. Millinocket is a small frontier town. It sits in the shadow of KATAHDIN and on the edge of Maine’s vast northern forest. As an artist, the majesty of Katahdin is a major source of inspiration, but I am also drawn to the many animals that call Baxter State Park and the surrounding area home… bear, fox, beaver, loon, raven, eagles, coyote and of course, the greatest beast of them all—the MAINE MOOSE!

From the Filmmaker:

I am an artist but I have always taken tons of photos and videos and I enjoy editing film, so when I saw the MOFF call for entries, I decided to give it a go! My film, KATAHDINLAND, shines a light on the beauty of Northern Maine and all the creatures that call it home. Katahdin is Maine’s highest mountain and the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail. It is a major source of inspiration in my art, but I am also drawn to the roar of the mighty Penobscot River, as well as the many creatures that call Baxter State Park and the surrounding area home… bear, fox, beaver, loon, raven, osprey, eagles, coyote and of course, the greatest beast of them all—the MAINE MOOSE! My dog and best buddy, Mr. Gus is the star of the movie!
